NYFW is the best of times and the worst of times. I look forward to it for months. Then, between the sore feet, the lack of sleep, the temperatures and the ever-surging Uber prices, I wonder why. It's work. And while I love my career more than anything, I breathe a sigh of relief when the week is over.
This NYFW was a liiiiitle different though-- it included a lot more sighs of relief. I was beyond blessed and spoiled to stay at the Baccarat Hotel, the most glamorous hotel in the country (I've stayed at a lot of 5-star hotels, trust me on this). Every time I walked into the lobby, which features a wall covered in 2,000 Baccarat goblets that perform a light show, I am transported into heaven.
You don't have to stay at the Baccarat in order to enjoy it. Yes, booking a room entitles you to spoils including a decadent mini bar full of glass bottles of dozens of sodas and water selections in glass bottles, Laduree goodies and (of course) Baccarat glassware to enjoy it in, plus an all-marble bathroom, a TV that appears out of a giant mirror and (my favorite) the fact that everything you ask to be delivered from newly-shined shoes to an iron comes in a pretty red box. BUT, the very best part of the Baccarat is the stunning hotel lobby bar, where you can enjoy afternoon tea, lunch, dinner or a nightcap in a beautiful white room full of red roses and (what else) Baccarat everything. If you find yourself in New York, go. The steep $25 per drink price is well worth the photos.
