This Philosophy dress completes me. Or at least, it did until I saw Tom Ford's new shoe collection and now there's a certain pair of sandals that will complete me, but for a few weeks, this dress and I were living happily ever after. I had been coveting a Philosophy dress since Cannes and so when I received this, I freaked.
Philosophy is not swimming with the current. They're doing entirely their own fashionable thing and the results are dresses that look like nothing else on the runways. This, the most French dress I now own, is almost like a costume in it's ultra-feminine design, which is why I feel like the Paris Wife when I put it on.
I dress up so much that I get bored of LBDs, baggage dresses and leather minis that I am constantly pushing the envelope, wearing weirder, edgier and tighter, shorter and generally more dramatic outfits. With this, a fashionista goes entirely in the other direction, wearing something so innocent and feminine that for a day, she makes a far bolder statement than she would in leather, fur or sequins.
